MALDIVES MEETS ISABEL! – Ladies Who Online
I got curious about the location, so I went and searched on Instagram. And what I found was stunning. I couldn’t take my eyes off from this bewildering scenery. Then again, I eventually forgot about the Maldives after graduating and working abroad. Until I came across a photo of a scenic beach, showcasing the clear waters of the Indian Ocean. That was the moment when it hit me. I want to go there! And without further ado, I booked a flight to Male, Maldives! Luckily, I got a discount (50% off) from a friend who works in Emirates.
It was February 26, 2019, when I set foot in the country. I never expected that I would get to see 1,200 islands. But I did, and it was so surreal. It was more than just the pristine beaches and luxurious accommodations, as you would commonly see on social media. This gracious land is filled with nature and kindness.
I stayed overnight on the main island near Velana International Airport in Hulhumale Island. I just woke up the next day and was greeted by a lovely morning. I walked by the beachside, and it reminded me of Boracay’s hotels near the seashore. The only difference is that this was ten times better. Moreover, the waves of the Indian Ocean and the colors of the sunset were so unforgettable and beautiful.
I had my breakfast after my morning walk. But I hurriedly ate so that I could board the next speedboat to my new destination, which was Thuludshoo Island.
It took four hours for the next vessel to arrive at the airport. As the airport is surrounded by water, boats, ferries, or seaplanes are the only means of transportation when traveling to other islands.
NOTE: The faster your mode of transport is, the more expensive it is. A one-way trip via speedboat costs at least USD 40.
Now, here it is, guys! This was my villa for three days.
I enjoyed three days worth of relaxation and therapy. The hotel manager was very kind, the staff was accommodating, and the customer service was world-class! This hotel wasn’t even a 5-star rated establishment, but it felt like one. Thank you, Met House in Thuludshoo, for providing the best Maldivian vacation ever!
It was a dream come true for someone like me who would’ve never thought of setting foot on this paradise. The Maldives will always have a special place in my heart.
See you soon! Shukuriyaa Maldives!
