BAG CLOSET ORGANIZATION – Ladies who Online
I want to share WHY I organized my handbags and HOW I accomplished it.
I am a “HANDBAG” person. A handbag for me is a fashion statement that can either break or make my style. It has even become a status symbol now.
I love having different colors of handbags that I can match with my outfits. So I tend to collect roomier bags that can carry my daily work essentials. That’s why I always look for online bargain deals online or from outlet shops and pre-loved marketplaces (those that offer 50% OFF and above).
I didn’t notice that my bag collection has been growing, which eventually became a problem for me. And one drawback is that I end up never using half of my bags because of the way I store them. I haven’t found a storing system that works yet. I needed an arrangement that will remind me I have certain handbags that need to be recognized easily.
All of my handbags are in their respective dust bags. But I have only kept them in places where there is still available space at home, which makes finding the right brand, style, and color stressful for me sometimes. Now, as I also wanted to make my mornings relaxed and stress-free from rummaging through hundreds of handbag choices, I decided that it was time to organize my growing collection. I also wanted to arrange my bag closet so I can check the handbags that no longer get used, so I can convert them to cash.
I have already spent a lot of time looking for purse organizing ideas and have researched a ton of organizational sites to find the best tips for storing handbags. I had to find a way that could help get my collection in order right away. Finally, I used IKEAs bookcases, as these were affordable and functional. Plus, I got to adjust the shelves according to the size and height of my bags.
When the bookcases were finally in place, I took out all the handbags from their dust bags and started putting them on the shelves. Only 40% of my bags can fit at the moment, but it was a good start. Now, the next step was to store the pieces that I always used (and want to keep forever), and then sell the bags that were rarely used.
I normally choose my office clothes first, and then my shoes. Now, I can easily pick which bag matches my outfit without having to go through every single one of them. It’s a no-brainer! I save 30 minutes of my time with this system. Now I get to take quick OOTD snaps for my Instagram account too (you can check my profile for some office wear inspirations).
I have also started decluttering my closet, as it contains clothes that no longer fit me. I have been planning to do this for years now, and I finally got it done! Well, the first step was always going to be the hardest. I may be going at a slow pace with organizing my things, as I work full-time (I only get to do it every weekend). But at least I’ve started the process (check out the before and after photos).
That’s it for now! I hope to connect with you on Instagram. Also, feel free to DM me if you have any questions. Stay fab always and be safe!
